Taking A Vacation From My Vacation
After trekking into the depths of The Nyack (post below), Jeremy and Truman made their way north to hike Gunsight Pass, pictured below.
The weather was terrific and the views were spectacular. Gunsight Pass is the 'u' in the center of the picture.
Beautiful Lake Ellen Wilson with Gunsight Pass above.

Ups and Downs
I started this hitch like I ended the last, in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The sweeping solitude satisfied my senses, and seeing sweet structures like this stopped me in my steps.
Badger Pass was the first of the hitch and seeing far into the Bob made me feel like a small speck on this beautiful planet.
A great view up Tubby Creek valley.

Ahern Glacier towers above everything, with Helen Lake and Lake Elizabeth settled into the cirque valley.

The sun setting very slowly at the foot of Lake Elizabeth made the mountains burn brightly in the remaining sunlight.
After 14 days in the Bob I finally made it back to Glacier. I thought I felt small on top of Badger Pass, then I got to Redgap Pass and Ahern Glacier doubled that feeling.

I thought nothing could beat Climbing over Radgap Pass, but making my way towards Stoney Indian Pass soon changed my mind, as you'll see.

Stoney Indian Pass consisted of hiking past numerous waterfalls through fields of flowers and huckleberry patches.

1, 2, 3, 4!
View From Appistoki Peak. Mount Henry to the left. The ridge leads to the unnamed and Mount zabba is just right and behind. Mount Ellsworth to the far back right
On one of my days off I decided to do a big hike, climb four mountains in one giant loop, none of it by trail. It turned out to be six mountains, four named, so I named one Mount zabba. I started at Two Medicine Lake and hiked up to a saddle in between Appistoki Peak and Mount Henry. From there it was ridge walking most of the way, up to Appistoki, up an unnamed, over to Henry, back to Mount zabba, across to Mount Ellsworth, then down to Never Laughs Mountain. I descended through Aster Park and back to Two Medicine. These are a few of the amazing views of the day, enjoy.
